Another day of decent progress today, covering 18km across partly crevassed areas without any problems.

We are now camped at the bottom of the next technical section (see pic) which will require us to ferry loads for 7km. It will probably take five loads with both Cats taking each load. Round trip will be about 3hrs, so it won’t be a fast process.

Tomorrow we have another day’s work on one of the Cats to change some seals.

Current position: S72 10′ 23.4″ E023 28′ 32.5″

Altitude: 1743m

It is great to hear that you are continuing to make good progress. Well done Class 3 for continuing to follow the blog over the Easter holidays. Here’s a question for you Class 3:
If the Ice team is going to have to make 5 trips to ferry their loads over the next tricky section and each trip takes 3 hours, how long will it take them in total?

Thank you Newfie. It’s pretty easy to take great photos down in Antarctica – the scenery is breath-taking whichever way you look.
