Ian, I know, like me, many people have really enjoyed your video reports. I can see a whole new career opening up for you! Thank you for so eloquently telling the expedition story and braving the elements with the extraordinary Panasonic cameras and equipment to show what life in Antarctica is like in the middle of the winter. Thanks to all of you for participating in these reports. It is no surprise that the word “Awesome” is so often used by way of reaction to your pictures and blogs. Not long now….. Best wishes, Anton

Thank you for letting us share your adventure. That is what it has been. We have followed the ups and downs and for the children in my classes over the past few years the Antarctic has been brought to life. In the midst of the hardship and disappointment you have inspired and educated many – not just the children and staff here at St. Mary’s.
It was a pleasure to speak to you all those months ago – it was the longest range phone call I have ever been involved with. All of you will live in the memory of our school for a long time to come.
Release all the footage, photos as a film/DVD and you have a ready market here in County Durham and from all those who regularly reply to your blog.
Keep safe for these last days before you return to your families.
Even though it is only November enjoy a happy and peaceful Christmas with your families and friends – there will probably be only rain – no snow!
The Christmas adverts have started already!
