Welcome to the first instalment of The Coldest Journey blog
After years of meticulous planning, clandestine meetings and chomping at the bit not to talk to the media, today we are delighted to finally announce the details of The Coldest Journey. This December, a team of the world’s most intrepid explorers led by Sir Ranulph Fiennes will set off from London in an attempt to break the final frontier in polar exploration – to cross the Antarctic in winter! Operating in near permanent darkness and enduring temperatures as low as -90C, the 2,000 mile, six-month traverse is all set to become one of the truly legendary feats of polar exploration which will rival even greatest Antarctic adventures. Check out this site for regular updates, as well as our Facebook page and Twitter page for up-to-the-minute information and news from the expedition team.
