This December, a team of the world’s most intrepid explorers led by Sir Ranulph Fiennes will set off from London in an attempt to break the final frontier in polar exploration – to cross the Antarctic in winter! Operating in near permanent darkness and enduring temperatures as low as -90C, the 2,000 mile, six-month traverse is all set to become one of the truly legendary feats of polar exploration which will rival even greatest Antarctic adventures.
